Great Kid-Focused Dentist
“I chose Dr. Cooper for my children after meeting him and his staff. I wanted a kid friendly dentist and staff and Spinnaker Pediatric Dentistry far exceeded my expectations. My kids don’t like the idea of going to a dentist, but Dr. Cooper and his staff make it fun and enjoyable. Even their gloves are scented like grapes to be kid friendly. The tokens at the end are a great incentive for my girls. They love to pick out a prize from the prize machine. My girls can pick a movie to watch on the ceiling while getting their teeth cleaned and there are ipads loaded with games in the waiting room. Heck, I want to be a patient! Too bad I’m too old. However, there are good grownup magazines in the waiting room, so they have something for me too. Put all the extras on top of outstanding service and quality dental work and I couldn’t ask for anything more.”

“I was mortified to find out at my son’s first dentist appointment how bad his teeth were. We were referred to Spinnaker Pediatric Dentistry by our general dentist. I was very nervous and embarrassed to bring my son in because I was responsible for his lack of proper home care. The staff and Dr. Cooper were extremely non-judgemental. They did not make me feel guilty, only encouraged me in his care from here on out. If you are feeling ashamed, don’t hesitate to make an appointment. “We took in our wiggly, giggly, silly three year old yesterday. From reception, to the dental assistant, to Dr. Cooper, we were impressed. The three year old thought it was a blast and mom likes the staff very much. We’ve been here a few times with various other children and we have always been impressed by the care and consideration they give their little patients. My 5 year old’s first time to the dentist.
“My daughter was so scared. They let her watch her sister get x rays and have her teeth cleaned. When it was her turn they walked her through everything first. Explained all the instruments and what they would do with them and how it would feel. They let her pick an animal to polish her teeth. She picked the flamingo. Then she picked bubble gum toothpaste. The assistant wore pink gloves that were bubble gum flavored. She watched Beauty and the Beast from a tv mounted on the ceiling as she wore sunglasses and had her teeth cleaned. After that the doctor came in and was very friendly. He talked to her about Valentines day and about butterflies. Both my kids thought he was funny and very nice. They were given tokens to use on the prize machine. They also were given new toothbrushes and toothpaste and a floss man. The experience was great. When we left both my kids wanted to know when they get to come back.”

“What a lovely office… Dr. Cooper and his staff were perfectly silly with my 5-year-old (which she loves) and took a great deal of time to answer my questions and explain treatment options. From the coin-operated prize machine, to the child-focused discussions, to Shrek playing above the dental chair, it’s clear that everything about this office has been designed to alleviate childhood anxiety raised by a trip to the dentist. Wonderful people and wonderful place!”

“From the beautiful building to the friendly faces, to the excellent bedside manner, you just can’t beat this team. I am a fraidy-cat Mom, who neglects going to the dentist for years and years. Even though I don’t wish this on my kids, I haven’t been as on top of things as I should be, but an emergency (broken tooth due to accident) forced the issue and we encountered an office where my young girls are excited and thrilled to visit the dentist!
